David has not been a musician that long, which he will readily admit to. This is David's first rock band. David's first actual gig in front of an audience was this year (2003) at the Tigard Rehab clinic. "Hello Tigard Rehab! Are you ready to rock?!?!?" It all sounds very rock and roll until you find out that the rehab clinic was actually a nursing home and that he was playing bluegrass. Bluegrass for old people.
That event had David hooked though. Immediately, David began the pursuit of playing more live music. "If those old folks could rock like that, imagine how much fun it would be to play music for people that can walk. "
When David and Tim came up with the idea for the band, this sounded perfect to him as it would stretch him into the dangerous and unfamiliar world of "barre" chords. Tim thought it would be a good idea because it would make David stop playing Bluegrass in the house.
