Blonded by the Light Jeff joined his first professional band as a guitarist and bassist at the age of 13 while living in his native town of Salt Lake City. Before leaving Utah (“too much snow …too many conservatives”), he played in a number of SLC bands, including Mocha Joe, one of the city’s most popular classic rock bands, and Vermin, a hard rock original/cover band. After moving to Los Angeles in 1998, he spent five years playing in a variety of bands, including the 80’s cover band Sonic Circus and Made In Japan, a Deep Purple Tribute band. When Jeff moved to Portland in 2003, he joined and still continues to perform with the Joy Wilson Band. He also played guitar and bass with various cover bands, including Hot Rod Deville. One day while browsing through Craigslist’s “Musicians Wanted” link, he read an ad for a guitarist for an “80’s cover band.” “Cool!” thought Jeff and then contacted David, who gave him all the details about WGTM. During the first rehearsal he knew – WGTM would be one great, ongoing blast. Jeff’s wife enjoys dressing him up for shows … how fortunate it is that many of her clothes fit him.
